Like anybody who’s been working for over 25 years I’ve got a fair bit of experience. My CV (below) will tell you that I know a lot about brand strategy but there’s always much more to it than that.
In simple terms, I’m a strategist who generates ideas for brands and businesses that help them to be more successful. It’s usually about growth and revenue but it’s often about something else. Like making a statement to the market, or even making the world a better place and enjoying it as much as we can whilst helping others too. Once we’ve worked out what it is, I help them to make sure it happens and usually stay with them to guide and support them on the way.
I have a simple philosophy, which is that whatever I produce must be engaging, inspiring and impactful. I believe that brands are amongst the most effective influencers of human behaviour in the world, but they’re not worth much if they don’t do at least one of those. I also think that work should be enjoyable and like to collaborate with like-minded people who are positive and dynamic.
Over the years, I have had the privilege of working with some of the finest commercial minds, many of them entrepreneurs. These are people who are curious and adventurous with a healthy disregard for convention and the status quo. They’re the kind who make the world go round and are willing to take calculated risks and use their instincts. But I also help the less adventurous too, by enabling them to remove some of the fear that holds them back and to create and manage impactful brand strategies.
Who I’ve worked with
I’ve been lucky to work with all kinds of brands, from some of the biggest and most successful in the world to SMEs and private equity backed start-ups that most people have never heard of. From automotive to zoos and everything in between, including governments and even space travel, I’ve had the privilege of working with CEOs, CMOs and entrepreneurs from all backgrounds. If you’d like a client list, let me know and I’ll send one over.
