I’m a brand strategist, political communications consultant and occasional copywriter. I’ve spent most of my career at ad agencies and brand consultancies in London, Singapore and Bangkok and was MD of a well known brand consultancy. I’m now a freelancer and also run HMKD, which develops communication strategies for companies committed to more sustainable and ethical behaviour. But I’m no hippy – I just believe that it’s possible to be profitable and responsible. You can find out more about me on Linked In or About.Me and you can follow me on Twitter.
On my blog I write mostly about branding and advertising but also about politics, ethics and life in general. Some of the latter is very personal, such as the challenge of coming to terms with death of one of my children. However it carries, I hope, an underlying message that, although life can throw some terrible things at you, it is possible to pick yourself up and smile again. These posts are under the ‘Life’ category which you will find when you click the filter at the top left on the blog page.
Please feel free to contact me about any of the subjects I write about or if you want to find out more about my work. You can email me by clicking the mail icon at the top right of this page or just send me a message on Twitter.
